Hi This is Juliana or zjuliana5 on the Toefl Speaking Mentor website. I just got my score back and I got 26 on speaking section for a total of 113. I really want to thank you Jason for the Speaking Mentor service you provided. I registered for that service only FOUR days before the actual test and it really helped me to improve my speaking by knowing what the test markers really want! Those video tutorials are especially helpful and there are many practice questions available! Hi Jason! My name is Sheryl. I am a Physical Therapist from the Philippines. I took the TOEFL IBT for the first time last 21 November 2009. I have to get a composite score of 63 for Reading, Writing and Listening and 26 for Speaking to pass the visa screen. After two weeks, the results were released today. I got a composite score of 78 and 27 for Speaking! I am so happy! I was really anxious about the Speaking Section, but your tips and tricks were really helpful and also the recordings from Voxopop. Hi Jason, I just got my toefl-ibt result today, and I'm very happy to inform you that finally, I received the much coveted score of 26 on the speaking section! This was my second take, and although I got a quite high score (111) on my first take, I only had 23 on the speaking part which was not enough for a Physical Therapist applying to take the licensure exam here in the U.S. I didn't know you yet when I took my first Toefl and had a false sense of confidence that time that I could pass the exam since I was already working here in the U.S for about 8 months. But I found out the hard way that getting a high score on the speaking section does not solely rely on your working english skill. You had to have formulas and structure like what you have been teaching your toefl speaking mentor members. I wish I have known you before I took my first toefl, but nevertheless, Thank you so much for your help and website. I actually thank God for knowing you after a few days of subscribing to your program and told myself that I would write a testimonial once I get 26 on the speaking section. Getting a 26 on the speaking section for a foreign graduate PT like me is really an ardous task since it is almost 87% and based on the study released by the ETS, of all those who took the toefl-ibt for professional license purposes, the mean score was only 21, so I really recommend to my fellow PT's who will take the toefl to be well-prepared for it and seek your help. Hi there! I just found out I got 29 in speaking. I can't believe it. Thank you Jason. Your tips were very useful. Those three full speaking tests that were available on speaking mentor were very important for my success. I realized that passing the Toefl has nothing to do with language skills. The secret is to know exactly how the Toefl is set up and what it requires. So, more tests you can take more chances you have to pass the toefl.
Got the latest result of my TOEFL IBT last month. Finally, I got the passing score of 26 in speaking, 25 in writing and the total score of 89 which is the passing score for my credentialing. Thank you, Jason!!! I just checked my new Toefl score, I am so excited. It is my fifth time taking toefl and besides three times rescore. Finally I got the 23 speaking score, altough it is not high compare with other students but it is enough for me. Your tips help me a lot, before I always think the speaking score depends on speaking ability and information you could cover, but I found I was wrong. It was really frustrating when last time I got a even lower score 17, because that time I have stayed in America for a while and I almost repeat most of the information in the test. Hi Jason. I took the TOEFL IBT on October 25th for the first time. All I did was self-study & getting tips from 2 great sites - this & another one. Then, I got the following scores: Reading=28, Listening=26, Speaking=27 & Writing=27.
I finally made it!!!! I've got my result yesterday and got the score I needed on speaking. Thank you very much on your techniques and tips! I would definitely say that your tips really helped me. This is the 7th time I've taken this exam and I'd say I've read all TOEFL iBT books available but nothing worked. My writing, reading and listening are always over 25 from the previous exams but my speaking was always 24 as well. Imagine how frustrating is that?! I was on my way of giving up and felt so depressed. Then my co-worker mention your site to me. I subscribed to your speaking mentor 10 days before my scheduled exam and I tried to remember all your outlines and make it a point to follow them. I was more confident and focus during the exam. My score for speaking is 27 and my writing is 25. God bless you and Thank you!I bought almost every toefl book that you can imagine. In addition, I paid so many tutors in US and in abroad and attended an english class. However, none of them was able to help me understand what Toefl raters want. I took the test multiple times and I always ended up with a score of 24 in speaking, when I needed 26. I was about to give up, until I learned from a friend about Jason's Toefl Mentor. I came to this country 3 years ago and since then I've been trying to validate my career as an Occupational Therapist; in order to do so, the first obstacle that I had to face was the TOEFL (I took it 10 times). I did everything to get the 26 score I needed, I bought hundreds of books, took online courses but nothing seemed to work as I expected because my highest score was 23. Only 2 weeks before my 11th TOEFL attempt I found this page and I decided to do the TOEFL Speaking Mentor. Hi Jason. My name is Aya, and I'm from Japan living in the US. I've been taking TOEFLiBT since November 2006 and the best score I was able to achieve on the speaking part was 23. (Once I received 24, but after rescoring it went down to 23.) I needed 26 on the speaking part for the Pharmacy License, and after I found this site in June and following your advice, my speaking score went up to 26 on 08/22/2009 test. Until I found your site, I studied using so many different TOEFLiBT study guide books, but none of them were really working for me...a lot of these books are not practical by going way over the one minute speaking limit or not considering what the question is really asking for. Your detailed instruction is reflecting the answers the ETS is actually looking for, and that's why I was finally able to pass this test. 3 years, 15 times later, finally I was able to get these magic numbers. (I wish I found your advice much earlier =)
